Welcome
Due to the temporary closure of the studios and other spaces where I teach, I am currently teaching only live online classes on the Zoom platform for the duration of the Coronavirus crisis. Please see my schedule page for classes.
Hello friends! I’m Robin Helfritch, a certified and registered yoga teacher (E-RYT 500) based in Queens, New York City, and I’d love to share in yoga with you.
I teach breath-centered, therapeutically-oriented vinyasa yoga that adapts to the needs of the individual. This approach is inspired by the tradition of “The Father of Modern Yoga,” T. Krishnamacharya and his son, T.K.V. Desikachar.
My classes aim to help you relax, reduce stress, sleep better, and gain more flexibility, strength, coordination, balance, and concentration.
The practice I offer is adaptable for all levels, including beginners and those with acute or chronic conditions such as Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, back pain or arthritis, as well as those who just want to feel better in their bodies, relationships, and with themselves and life in general. No matter your motivation for trying yoga, my classes provide a safe and welcoming environment where you will be treated with kindness, care and respect.
I believe that yoga is a celebration of life, a gift to be shared from one friend to another, and I love teaching to people of all ages and from all walks of life.
Please check out my schedule page for my current public classes, or contact me for rates and availability of private classes.

“That is why, when I needed a teacher to take over one of the Chair Yoga classes we provide at our local senior center, Robin was my first choice. I have since heard from the people there and am not surprised to hear how much skill and love she brings, and the profound impact she is having on people’s lives. I am very happy to offer my highest recommendation for Robin. You would be very lucky to have such a fine person and yoga teacher in your midst.” Read more…
“Robin is amazing!! I really enjoyed the practice and the Q&A afterwards. Robin asked about each individual’s needs and then made adjustments and corrections accordingly. She also makes the practice very well paced after which you feel both energized and refreshed. I am really impressed by her decades experience and expertise in yoga and will recommend her class to anyone who would like to introduce yoga to their lives!!” Read more…
